Montañas de Antioquia, September 2024 - The Front 36 has issued a statement directed at the communities of the municipalities of Amalfi and Anorí, located in the Northern, Northeastern, and Bajo Cauca subregions of Antioquia, denying the circulation of a false pamphlet that imposes threatening rules on the residents of these areas.
In the document, the organization clarifies that the information contained in the pamphlet is completely false and does not reflect their political and ideological proposals. The statement emphasizes that all of their communications are reviewed and approved by the General Staff of the Magdalena Medio Bloc and the Front 36, and that they are currently in a new cycle of conversations, without any united action with the authorities or law enforcement.
The Front 36 underscores that, while they are committed to pursuing a successful peace process for Colombia, the current conditions of the conflict prevent any coordination with the government. They also urge those behind the distribution of the pamphlet to cease their actions, warning that they will face consequences if they do not.
The organization calls on the community and oversight entities to remain vigilant against the spread of misleading information that seeks to destabilize the social and political environment of the region.
